| dc.description.abstract | The Global Economic Diversification Index (EDI) 2025 report provides valuable longitudinal datasets to inform policy, research and economic development efforts across the globe. It specifically highlights the importance of economic diversification for commodity-producing nations to mitigate the risks of growth, trade, and revenue volatility. The report underscores the vulnerability of countries dependent on commodities to various shocks, such as price fluctuations, climate change, and global pandemics. Successful diversification can be accelerated through adopting new technologies and digitalisation, moving towards a servicesbased economy, focusing on value-added manufacturing, and investing in human capital and infrastructure. يقدم تقرير مؤشر التنويع الاقتصادي العالمي (EDI) لعام 2025 مجموعات بيانات طولية قيّمة تُثري جهود السياسات والبحوث والتنمية الاقتصادية حول العالم. ويُسلّط التقرير الضوء تحديدًا على أهمية التنويع الاقتصادي للدول المنتجة للسلع الأساسية للحد من مخاطر النمو والتجارة وتقلب الإيرادات. ويُبرز التقرير ضعف الدول المعتمدة على السلع الأساسية في مواجهة صدمات متنوعة، مثل تقلبات الأسعار وتغير المناخ والأوبئة العالمية. ويمكن تسريع التنويع الناجح من خلال تبني التقنيات الحديثة والرقمنة، والتحول نحو اقتصاد قائم على الخدمات، والتركيز على التصنيع ذي القيمة المضافة، والاستثمار في رأس المال البشري والبنية التحتية.. | |
