Abstract

Description

The study aimed to analyze the relationship between digital technologies in their dimensions (Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Block Chains) and logistical support for civil defense incidents in its dimensions (logistical support strategy, integrated security systems, security risk management) in the General Command of Civil Defense. To achieve the objectives of the study, the quantitative approach was relied upon, through a study that was applied to a sample of (80) leaders and officials in the General Command of Civil Defense and its sub-departments and civil defense centers affiliated with it in the country, from the rank of captain and above, through a questionnaire. Its validity and stability were verified, and statistical treatments were used to analyze the data using the SPSS program. The results showed that there was a positive and strong correlation between (digital technologies in their dimensions) and (logistical support in their dimensions). The results also showed that there was a statistically significant effect at the level of (0.05 ≤ α) for the independent variable (digital technologies) in the dependent variable (logistical support) during confronting civil defense incidents. The results also showed that the statistical significance in the two dimensions (big data analytics, cloud computing) was smaller than the significance level (0.05 ≤ α), which means They have an impact on the level of logistical support during confronting civil defense incidents. The results also indicated that the values of the beta (B) coefficient were positive in these two dimensions, and this confirms their impact on the level of logistical support, while the (block chains) dimension was excluded in light of the results of the method. Multiple regression for its weak effect in improving the level of logistical support during confronting civil defense incidents. Accordingly, the study recommended the need for the General Command of Civil Defense to adopt a strategy to employ advanced systems and blockchain technology in predicting future logistical stock expectations to confront potential security events in light of future security threats, while developing a clear work policy to assess the risks of systems in the management of logistical support and its oversight controls in light of Common standard specifications.
