Policy Council #3: Research in the UAE: Present challenges and future opportunities

Abstract

Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world, today organized the third session of the Knowledge and Policy Council titled ‘Research in UAE - Present Challenges and Future Opportunities’.

Chaired by His Excellency Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, the session converged representatives from and local research institutions to study ways to boost scientific and social research programs in the UAE that can eventually contribute to the developmental process of the country. In addition to reviewing the challenges and opportunities for establishing such study centers, the delegates examined mechanisms for achieving integration between national policies and research institutions, and presented recommendations on ways to turn research outcomes into tangible results.
